We live in the time of Social media and “reality tv”. We see people posting all these material things, hanging out with famous friends, claims of riches, notoriety, and fame.
Sometimes we make the mistake of wishing we could have those “things”, look like them, wishing we could be with that man or woman, or even wishing we could have that person’s life. But do you really know that person or are you in love with the glitz, glam, and that image. Do you really know what’s inside of them. . . Do u think God gave them something he didn’t give you?
I’ve meet people, even dated one, over the past few years that embodied these same characteristics. . . . Lots of “friends” that were celebrities, a little time on TV or the airwaves, post on social media of things they don’t really own. I’ve witnessed lots of people do anything to be close to them. . . But did they know that those were just mask they wore, empty vessels looking for something to fulfill them, just like the people chasing them.
Don’t compare yourself to others, no matter how good it looks. Be grateful for what you have and that spirit of gratefulness will increase you. It will attract the right people to your life, provide the right opportunities for you to be successful. Then you will be able to encourage and show people how to really succeed.
Don’t get me wrong, I like the finer things in life and I plan on attaining them. Lol. My cousin always jokes and calls me bougie, at least I think its a joke. . . lol, just kidding. But seriously at the end of the day it’s about the lives you impact. The people you help grow and go to the next level.
Remember your just as good, special, talented, educated, and worthy as anyone else. If you want a certain life style, go get it. But do it the right way, with a good spirit, and good intentions. 🙂
